Backlash over Chris Gayle incident
The video of cricketer Chris Gayle hitting on Channel 10 reporter Mel McLaughlin has been doing the rounds on every media platform for the last couple of days, with Gayle himself receiving massive backlash and a ten thousand dollar fine. The issue of sexism in cricket has been raised once again.
Dr David Rowe, Professor of Cultural Research from Western Sydney University was interviewed about sexism in cricket and the fallout of the Chris Gayle incident.
