Climate Change To Cause The Largest Refugee Crisis We Have Seen

Climate change and extreme weather events are currently forcing people out of their homes to seek refuge. In 2016 over 25 million people were displaced due to extreme weather events. A recent study by the Environmental Justice Foundation, ‘Beyond Borders’, warns that unless action is taken climate change will cause the largest refugee crisis we have seen.

2SER was joined by Dr. Ian McGregor, Lecturer at UTS Business School to discuss the study and the effects of climate change on forced migration.
