Dictatourism – North Korea

Most Australians think of Bali or Europe when they’re considering travel destinations. But journalist and activist Michael Forno has a fascination with despotic dictatorships.

North Korea is best know for famine, isolation, nuclear weapons and its eccentric Dictator Kim Jong-Un. But is there another side to this mystery country?

Recently, Michael travelled to North Korea to lift lids and break stereotypes. He wrote about his travels on the popular online news platform http://read-about-this.com/notes-on-a-hermit-kingdom/ and also joined Sam in the studio to discuss.
