Dr Alan Duffy on the Australian Space Agency

For the first time, Australia is set to get a space agency to call its own. Following the Government’s announcement at Adelaide’s 68th International Astronautical Congress, astrophysicist Dr Alan Duffy joined Nic to talk about what an Aussie space agency might look like and its potential impact on the economy, jobs and our share of the fast-growing global space agency.

According to Dr Duffy, the advent of an Aussie space agency could result in up to 10,000 jobs, prevent some of the ‘brain drain’ we currently have in the country and even encourage a new wave of students into STEM study fields!
