How to know if you are drinking enough water

Water is a vital part of many biological chemical processes — the continual circulation of water in tissue and cells allows for the absorption of important vitamins and minerals, and the expelling of toxins. So, how much water should we be drinking to keep our bodies replenished?

Caroline Trickey is a dietitian and culinary nutritionist, and she says the amount of water depends on each person’s body’s needs. The widely-quoted “eight glasses” is only a recommendation, and this can change depending on how much a person sweats, exercises and eats water-based foods.
