7:00pm 17th Mar 2016 :: On The Money

On the Money this week: Will Australia ride the next wave of prosperity, or succumb to recession? We talk to Author and journalist, George Megalogenis, who says government needs to be looking at long term policy, not unachievable, short-term promises. In particular, he says it’s time to look at some big state planning, like we once saw with the Snowy Mountain Scheme.

As budget time draws nearer, On the Money also talks to the industry peak body, The Australian Industry Group, about what they want from the budget. So would something like an asset write-off for big business bring the business investment boost the economy needs?

And with piggy banks now irrelevant, how should we be teaching kids about money? The Australian Securities and Investments commission (ASIC), is getting kids money ready for the digital age.
