The Australian Pharmacy industry is a multi billion dollar business mostly comprised of the small local pharmacy. With increased pressure on local pharmacies from larger pharmacy chains such as Chemist Warehouse driving prices down as well as the increase in popularity of the cheaper generic pharmaceuticals, your local pharmacy needs to come up with new ways to keep customers loyal. In the last couple of years it is alleged that some pharmacies have adopted the dodgy practice of Ghost dispensing.
