Higher Education Reform for Australian Regional Universities

Regional university students are already doing it tough and many may be the first in their families to seek higher education. The Federal Government has proposed reforms in higher education for regional universities, which would mean students in these areas would have to pay more in tuition and the income threshold for repaying student debt will be lowered. Suzanne Ryan, an Associate Professor in Management and Organisational Studies from the University of Newcastle, joined us to talk about the possible implications these reforms may have for the universities and their students.
