For five mornings from Monday, January 15, Westfield shopping centre is giving away 800 free reusable cups made by Melbourne-based design company Frank Green, as well as free coffee from Fratelli Fresh and Guylianto go inside them.
The giveaway will last all week and, to take advantage of it, all you have to do is pledge, via a social media post, to stick with your permanent vessel and give up buying disposables.

The soulful UK singer-songwriter announced on Twitter that he’d be returning to his “home away from home” this summer for an one-off performance at the Sydney Opera House.
Smith is donating all profits from the concert to charity. A third went straight to the marriage equality campaign before tickets even went on sale, while mental health and LGBTQIA support organisations ReachOut and Twenty10 are also beneficiaries.

Four thousand fish at Barangaroo
Participate in a public artwork that’ll make you feel connected to country, angry at our shared history and in awe of the natural world. Four Thousand Fish will see people from all walks of life coming together to create frozen fish sculptures from the water surrounding Barangaroo Reserve, which will later return to its liquid state as part of a sunset ceremony in an artist’s modern interpretation of a traditional ‘nawi’ bark canoe.

Opening today, Broken Glass is a powerful installation and performance work, that illuminates the rituals of death and mourning in NSW and Victorian First Peoples’ communities. Key artists Lily Shearer, Liza-Mare Syron, Andrea James, Aroha Groves and Katie Leslie create an intimate, enlightening and moving experience.

Wind in the Willows at the Royal Botanic Gardens
Adults and children alike can indulge in Wind in the Willows when it returns for it’s 16th year in the Botanic Gardens this summer. This critically acclaimed outdoor theatre production delivers music, songs, and laughs and will run until January 28.
