How do you identify pain in people with dementia?

When you are in pain, what do you do? Maybe go and have a lie down, take a painkiller, or see your doctor if it’s really bad.

But what about people with dementia, how do you tell if they are in pain?

Thomas Fischer has been studying how to identify pain in people with dementia.


Thomas is a Professor of Aged Care Nursing from Dresden, Germany. He started off by explaining the source of pain experienced by people with dementia.
