Julian Droogan: The Dark Net and Terrorism Recruitment

People mostly use the internet for email and funny cat videos; but you might not be aware that the internet you typically see is only the tip of the iceberg. The dark web is a digital underbelly sometimes only accessible by special browsers used for drug deals, child pornography and even by terrorists. Our regular terrorism and security expert, Dr Julian Droogan from the Department of Policing, Intelligence and Counter Terrorism at Macquarie University, joined us to explain how the dark web is used in this way.
