On May 11th, 2017, it came as an undeniable shock to hear about the passing of Mark Colvin, the extraordinary Australian journalist and host of ABC’s PM who had touched so many people’s lives at the age of 65.

Back in 2014, 2SER was privileged to have Mark Colvin appear on a special, two part edition of the program Old, New, Borrowed, Blue, where guests would join host Jamie Travers by picking four songs with special meaning to them. Mark spoke about his upbringing with an MI6 spy for a father and falling into journalism, travelling the world as a foreign correspondent and the illness that he struggled with for over twenty years prior to his passing.
