Liverpool terminal faces residents’ opposition

The Moorebank Intermodal Terminal is shaping up to become one of Sydney’s largest freight terminals, similar to Port Botany itself. SIMTA, its developer, continues in its plan to create the terminal, despite very heavy opposition from the residents of Liverpool, Liverpool council and even the federal MP of the area, Craig Kelly. The terminal will be built right next to residential housing and one of the busiest rivers, railways and roadways in Sydney. Kim spoke to the leader of efforts to prevent its construction, John Anderson, who has been a resident of the area for over a decade.
