Making a Song and Dance About Musicals
The movie musical genre has been around since the Golden Age of cinema and always seems to give us a sense of nostalgia. With the current success of La La Land, breaking the record of most wins at the Golden Globes ever and it’s continuous nominations continuing during awards season, it shows the everlasting power of the genre.
So what is it that we love about the movie musical and why does it give us a sense of nostalgia?
