Mental Health in Young Men

Young people in Australia are the most likely to be nursing a mental health issue of some kind and yet they are the least likely to seek help for it.

In particular, young men having absorbed our blokey, drink a cup of concrete and harden up culture, will not go seeking help for issues that they might be struggling with.

National Youth Mental Health Foundation headspace have started a new campaign encouraging fathers to talk to their sons to get them to open up about the issues they’re facing. We we’re joined by headspace’s Head of Direct Clinical Services Vikki Ryall, to discuss this.
