The Next Step In Brain Cancer Treatment

For decades now there has been very little progress made in the treatment of brain cancer. Despite being one of the leading causes of cancer deaths in young people, it remains largely unacknowledged and very little progress has been made in efforts to improve treatment. The federal government has recently announced the Australian Brain Cancer Mission, a 100 million dollar influx of funding, into the efforts being made to treat this disease.

 

The Daily spoke with Michelle Stewart, the CEO of the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation about brain cancer in Australia, and what this new Mission means for ongoing treatment research.
