Monday Breakfast

Monday 6:00am - 9:00am

Welcome to 2SER's Monday Breakfast with Alexis!

In addition to a very special blend of new music and music ransacked from random collections, your ears will experience ~ surprise! ~ special guests, regular segments and a rundown of the week's headlines.

At 6.30am: How to Conduct Your Own Musical Exorcism. Take an old track that has been rattling around in your head and driving you crazy. Play it on air. Everyone else now has to deal with it all week, not you. Problem solved. Email your suggestions through.

On a Monday morning you just might hear a 'Being John Malkovich' segment. WTF? Turns out it's not only John Malkovich's head that has a portal. Tune in for the most interesting insights into some well known people and community organisations. Email your suggestions - the bolder the better.

Monday's book segment, where we chat with authors about exciting non-fiction releases, has to date been graced by Azim Khamisa, Bettina Arndt, Rupert Guinness and Ruth Helen Camden (see podcasts below). We dig into the occasional magazine too, just to keep you on top of things.

In 2009 we featured two long-running series on Monday Breakfast:

  • Encounters with Chi with TCM practitioner and author, Jost Sauer (www.jostsauer.com), about living in harmony with the Chi Cycle; and
  • 21st Century Health with integrative GP and author, Dr Carole Hungerford, all about health and preventative medicine. Find an integrative GP near you at www.ACNEM.org. And for more about Carole and her book 'Good Health in the 21st Century' see www.carolehungerford.com.au.

You can find all 24 podcasts for these series below. Enjoy!

It's always great to have your company and 2010 promises a whole swag of new segments on Monday Breakfast...so stay tooned...eat your organic porridge...and check out some of the great 2SER gigs and events throughout the year.

Too exciting for words.

Until next Monday...
