Stress is making our koalas sick

The effects of chlamydia on koalas can be extremely debilitating causing potential blindness, infertility and extensive bodily damage.

The disease is rapidly spreading amongst native koala populations with the number of available treatments withering.

Willa Huston is part of a research team from the University of Technology Sydney who’s looking at new vaccine treatments to help chlamydia infected koalas and why so many are infected in the first place.

The research team are calling for any donations that people might be willing to give to continue this research. If you’re interested in donating towards these koalas you can do so here: https://www.giving.uts.edu.au/impact-of-giving/a-new-way-to-save-koalas
