The low down on microwaves

For decades we’ve used microwaves ovens to cook, defrost and reheat a variety of different foods through microwave radiation. For just as long, rumours have cycled around the supposed dangers they pose to human health through radiation, and the way which they strip food of nutritients. So the question is, are the rumours true? Dr Senaka Ranadheera from the Victoria University, joined The Daily this morning to bust some myths.
