The Unknown Fate of 1,400 Wives and Children of IS Fighters

Iraq is holding 1,400 women and children of ISIS fighters, the future of these women and children are in question as the men have been separated and undergoing investigation. The Norwegian Refugee Council is supplying aid to the families however the Council says that the situation is delicate. IS fighters maybe given the death penalty, however the women and children aren’t going to be treated the same as the IS fighters but they are also not allowed to leave the camp either. This raises some humanitarian issues as the fate of the women and children are unknown as they cannot be kept in a camp forever. 2ser was joined by Kevin Boreham from the Australian National University.
