Over 100 girls released by Extremist group Boko Haram

Last month the Islamic extremists, Boko Haram, had kidnapped 110 and girls from a boarding school in the farming town of Dapchi. Nearly all the 110 had been released during this week, however, it is unknown why 6 of the 110 were not released. Nonetheless, the government and the parents celebrated the return of the girls who did make it back. The government claim back channel negotiations are the reason for this but the girls themselves have said their captors released them out of pity, so what triggered the release is still unknown. While the families of Dapchi celebrate there is still the unknown release of the 276 girls kidnapped from Chibok.  Kevin Boreham from the Australian National University joined The Daily on the line to discuss this.
