2SER Monday Daily Gig Guide
The Monday Daily gig guide is a segment hosted by Oscar Byrne which sets out to place a spotlight on some of the best local shows coming up in Sydney! In the week gone past, the gig guide team headed to the Lansdowne Hotel to see Megafauna and Noodle house deliver the best alternative rock sound waves.
Here are some of the shows to look forward to this week :
Shady Nasty – OAF Weekly series – Wednesday 19/5
Punk and hip hop blending group Shady Nast will be playing at the OAF as part of the venues weekly series presented in collaboration with Create NSW. They played quite possibly one of the rowdiest post-COVID shows at Pressure fest a couple of weeks ago, with the venue even coming close to cancelling the show. Get your moshing shoes on for this one.
Keens Mustard – Domino Single Launch @Waywards Brewery – Thursday 20/5
After spending the majority of 2020 disciplining their bodies and minds, Keen’s Mustard have returned, armed to the teeth, ready to celebrate the release of their new single ‘Domino’ at Waywards on the 20th of May. Expect a piping hot set featuring some brand-new songs. Supported by absolute units Sunset Place + The Wattles!
Oscar was lucky enough to have a little chat with the band about their new single and why you should head along to the show.
The Lord Gladstone Jazz Festival – Sunday 20/5
The Lord Gladstone is hosting a jazz festival this Sunday featuring some of the best performing Sydney jazz artists, including Aaron Blakey, Lachlan McKenzie, Jo Fabro’s Jam session, Ben Lerner, O’Dear its O’Dea, Sean Coffin’s Intrionsic and a huge jam session hosted by the fabulous Jo Fabro.
