30 under 30 awards: celebrating young LGBTQIA+ Australians

Recent criticism over the narrow focus of this years census questions, including the exclusion of the LGBTQIA+ community, has many concerned for the future of this form of data collection.

‘Out for Australia’, an organisation dedicated to representing the LGBTQIA+ community is hosting their 30 under 30 awards this October, recognising the unsung heroes of a community still fighting for recognition. 

Ezra Dickson from ‘Out for Australia’ spoke with The Daily’s Tina Quinn to talk about some of the amazing work coming from this cohort and their message of hope and optimism for future generations of young LGBTQIA+ Australians.
