Adam Courtenay and the Marvels of Mr Todd

Adam Courtenay, is already the author of five Historical books, three of which look at our nation’s past, including “The Ship That Never Was”, “The Ghost and the Bounty Hunter” and “Three Sheets to the Wind”.

His latest book, “Mr Todd’s Marvel”, tells the story of the ambitious task Charles Todd undertook to connect Australia by telegraph to the wider world in the 1870’s, cutting communication overseas from months to hours. “Mr Todd’s Marvel” is available now at good bookstores.

Adam Courtenay joined us on 2SER Breakfast to discuss his new book, the growing inclusiveness of Australian history, and the place history books have in our modern digital age.
