Anger as Australia’s Environment Minister Jets Off to Europe

Tasmanian Greens Senator, Peter Whish-Wilson, has labelled the trip undertaken by Australia’s Environment Minister, Sussan Ley, to Europe as ‘disgusting’.

Minister Ley’s trip comes ahead of the 44th meeting of the World Heritage Committee, where she will meet with the Council’s members to ask them to vote against a proposal to downgrade the health status of the Great Barrier Reef.

2ser’s Tina Quinn spoke with Senator Whish-Wilson about the recommendation and Ms Ley’s trip.
