Anxiety and Depression Symptoms: What Is The Impact On Young Children?

This year, there is approximately 1.5 million children aged six to seven going to school in Australia. For those starting school for the first time, they are been thrown into a foreign environment juggling the pressure of learning new academic skills and establishing relationship with peers. However, a recent study has suggested that there is an increased level of children struggling with emotional problems such as depressive and anxiety symptoms. With the number increasing at a significant rate, the question lies, what can be done to support the needs of these children showing these signs?
