ANZAC Day: Recognising health staff at war

A new history project is available now to know more about the individual journey of more than 330,000 Australians who volunteered overseas during the First World War, including doctors and nurses.

One of them is Olive Haynes, a nurse from Adelaide who decided to enlist at the age of 26, and during her time overseas, did much more than healing soldiers. Her granddaughter Marnie Watts spoke to The Wire about the journey of Olive and the challenges she faced.
