Selective High Schools Creating an Education Divide?

On Tuesday, Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced the opening of a new selective school in Sydney’s south-west to address parent’s “strong demand” for the education option.

Yet, teachers across Sydney have called for increased funding of the public education system instead.

Julia Andre spoke with Henry Rajendra, the Acting Deputy President of the NSW Teachers’ Federation, on why teachers are concerned by the NSW government’s increasing support for selective high schools.
