Ashkan Shafiei is an Iranian-Australian musician inspired by the golden age of Persian music in post-revolution Iran, specifically the 1960s and 1970s, when Eastern and Western music were at the height of fusion.

Ashkan’s new EP, ‘Hunter’, was produced in collaboration with Jonathan Boulet of Party Dozen and is an exploration of self and identity in music. Combining Persian lyrics and instrumentation with golden era 70s vibes, ‘Hunter’ blends both Ashkan’s Iranian and Australian identities.

Releasing May 30th on streaming platforms and live launching at the Vanguard on June 1st, Ashkan joins Tuesday Drive to discuss his new EP ‘Hunter’.
