Asylum seeker suicide sparks outrage
The suicide of asylum seeker Mano Yogalingam has sparked outrage across refugee advocates and the Tamil Community in Australia.
The tragedy has shone a spotlight on Australia’s immigration system and it’s treatment of asylum seekers and refugees who come via boat.
Many advocates argue the fast track visa program and bridging visa lead to uncertainty and significantly damage the mental health of refugees and asylum seekers in Australia.
