Australia Two Years On from the Paris Accord: Have Things Changed?

Climate Change is no longer a distant blip on the twenty four hour news cycle. It’s firmly embedded within the news zeitgeist…and rightly so.

Carbon emissions are rapidly reaching an irrevocable point, requiring instant and unified action on a global scale. The 2016 Paris Agreement was ideally that action, a unified declaration by the United Nations concerned with keeping global temperature rises well below the two degrees above the CO2 levels present  prior to mass industrialization.

So two years down the track, how have things fared? Are we pulling our weight or dragging our heels? On the wrong or right side of history? Head of Research and acting CEO of the Climate Council  Dr Martin Rice joined Tess to give a much needed update.
