Australian Music Prize 2022 Winners – Let’s Go, King Stingray!

Commencing in 2005, the Australian Music Prize is widely recognised as the most prestigious award for Australian recording artists. celebrating the best albums in Australian contemporary music.

One of the many fine works shortlisted for the prize for best Australian album of 2022 includes King Stingray’s self-titled debut. Across 10 tracks, the NT band have announced their mission statement – to open the eyes of a nation while simultaneously rocking its socks off.

Roy from King Stingray joined 2SER Breakfast to discuss how stoked they were to be shortlisted by their peers as on of the creators of the best albums of 2022 by Australian artists.
