Australian Transplant Games champion Kate Phillips

Born with a hole in the heart and pulmonary hypertension, Kate Phillips spent her early years in and out of hospital. Since receiving a life-saving heart and double lung transplant 3 years ago, she has become an incredible athlete, walking away with 11 medals in running, swimming, cycling and triathlon at the recent Australian Transplant Games. Her achievements are to feature in a new campaign from the World Transplant Games Federation, Fit For Life, which encourages transplant recipients to lead active lives. Kate told us a bit about her experiences and the campaign.
