All Australians seem to care about the Cricket cheating Scandal – but why?

The latest cheating scandal featuring the leadership of the Australian cricket team seems to have offended all Australians, even those who do not ordinarily care about the sport.

 

Sports historian, Dr Richard Cashman believes that because the Australians have historically taken the moral high ground in issues of sportsmanship, this latest cheating scandal is all the more impactful.

 

Although the Australian cricket team is still trying to resolve this issue, we ask: Just how long will it take for our sense of national pride to recover?
