What does Turkey’s attempted military coup over weekend mean for the country’s government?

The failed uprising on Saturday left 290 people dead and more than 1,400 injured in a chaotic night of violence

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has detained 6,000 people behind the takeover attempt, with this number expected to rise.

In addition to the thousands of soldiers detained, Erdogan has also removed hundreds of members of the judiciary.

With the plotters behind the coup to be tried for treason, how will Turkey’s government rebuild following the attempted takeover?
