Birds Using Medicine to Protect Their Young

Medicine use was thought to be restricted to only a very small group of animals – mostly humans and some primates. But a collaboration between Chinese and Australian researchers has proven that a species of sparrow found in China targets a specific plant for its medicinal properties the same way humans do. To tell us more about this fascinating discovery, producer Cameron Furlong caught up with Griffith University researcher Dr. Will Feeney.
