“Black Birds” are soaring

Across many Australian industries there’s a clear underrepresentation of women of colour. Luckily, there’s a group of young women in the Australian arts who are directly tackling this issue.

This morning on Breakfast Tess was joined by Ayeesha Ash, actress and founder of independent arts company “Black Birds”.

She chats about the importance of accurately representing women of colour, and how the group uses performance to tell their own stories.
