Architecture! It plays a huge part in the identity of cities, the movement of a city’s people and the soul of a physical space but you don’t actually see its consequences even though it’s right in front of you.

Now what does architecture have to do with anime? If you’re answer is “not a lot” then you are sorely mistaken..

In fact the settings in which your favourite animes are set play a very important role in tying a movie or show together. So much so that the Japan Foundation of Sydney is currently hosting Anime Architecture, an exhibit dedicated to the backdrops of some classic anime films and on the line to tell us all about it is Jessica Chow from the Japan Foundation.
