How can we recognise the indigenous heritage of our cities?

Australia has witnessed much change in regards to our original custodians and the rightful ownership of their land. With much land returned – and much more to be returned in the future – the landscape is radically different than it was. However, of the land returned to it’s rightful owners, almost none of that is urbanised. The ground our skyscrapers, units and shopping centres are built on is just as much Indigenous land as remote areas – why is this yet to be recognised?

We were joined by Libby Porter, Vice-Chancellor’s Principal Research Fellow and Associate Professor at RMIT University.
