CancerSEEK Test Detects Early Stage Cancer

Researchers have developed a blood test that can detect the presence of eight common cancers. The test, called CancerSEEK, is different from a standard biopsy, as it can be performed without even knowing a cancer is present, allowing a less invasive and a reliable early diagnosis – meaning a better chance for treatment. We spoke to Professor Pete Gibbs from the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, one of the Australian scientists who worked on the project, to give us more of an insight on this breakthrough.
