Casual Fan on collabs, live gigs, and their new single

A lot of weird and wonderful things came out of lockdown – some people bought a dog, others found a new career or quirky hobby.
But for Eora-based band Casual Fan, lockdown became the unexpected launchpad for something special. Forming just before the world shut down in 2019, they used that time to craft their unique blend of indie folk and nostalgic 90s-inspired rock, releasing an Album and an EP.
Since then we’ve been treated to a smattering of singles including the most recent “Mercy Me.” But now it seems they’re stepping into a new era. Curdie chats with the main songwriter and band leader, Nathan Stephenson, about the journey so far and their latest single, Swimmers.
