Citizen Science and the critically endangered Swift Parrot

Facing extinction by 2031, the planet’s fastest parrot needs our help.

It’s been uphill for a while now for this bright-green streamlined beauty, its habitat decimated by logging to the tune of some 70%.

Spearheading a campaign to save the extraordinary Swift Parrot, found only in Australia – is Tasmania’s Bob Brown Foundation.

Enter citizen science, and a summer long project coordinated out of Hobart that commences tomorrow, the 27th Nov 2020.

Here to talk on behalf of the severely dwindling (estimated 1500) Swift Parrots remaining in the wild is Foundation Campaign Manager, Jenny Weber.
