Should Civil Celebrants be Afforded Religious Protections?

With Australia responding with an overwhelming YES to the survey on same sex marriage debate has shifted from whether they should be allowed to marry to what the new marriage laws will entail. Conservatives are arguing that religious freedoms must be protected, but does this viewpoint completely undermine the result of the postal vote, and the will of those who voted yes?
