Clara Law on Drifting Petals and Floating Life at the Sydney Film Festival

Born in Macau, raised in Hong Kong and based in Melbourne, award winning film director Clara Law is screening two films at this year’s Sydney Film Festival. The first is a new film, Drifting Petals, a dream like voyage made over 5 years with her creative partner Eddie Fong. The second is her 1996 feature Floating Life which has been recently digitally restored by the National Film and Sound Archive.

She’s also part of the jury that will award this year’s Sydney Film Prize. She spoke with Toby on Thursday Daily about her new film and how it feels to having Floating Life getting a digital restoration.

Drifting Petals screens 11/11 at 6pm and 14/11 at 4pm at Palace Central. You can find tickets here.
