Community group marks 20 years providing free meals in Newtown

Sydney’s Hare Krishna society is serving up dinner for free outside the Newtown community center from 6 pm on weeknights.

For over 20 years the group has been providing free vegan Indian curries and desserts for those in need and the local community. The organization also works in other suburbs across Sydney and hopes to expand its operations to regional NSW.

Presenter Beth Tracey spoke to Hare Krishna monk and organizer of the initiative Sriman Nrsimha Das.
