Cookbook Scandals

It’s strange that the humble world of cookbooks and cookbook publishing can have a lot of drama behind it.

Over the past month, influencer Bellamy Brooke was called out by RecipeTin eats founder Nagi Maehashi for plagiarizing two of her recipes in Brooke’s cookbook. High profile US baker Sally McKenny also added fuel to the fire with another accusation, which Brooke denied. We’re not saying plagiarism happened, we’re just saying that’s what others have accused Brooke of.

While this is the latest cookbook-related scandal to rock the culinary world, there is a long history of plagiarism, fraud and misfortune that has negatively affected cookbook publishing.
