Coronavirus, a Global Health Emerging Concern

 Lately the media has been dominated with newly emerging cases of the Coronavirus. First beginning in China, the virus has now spread to Australia with students returning to Schools and Universities being on high alert. However given how fast it has spread, it is still not as rapid as the outbreak of Influenza in 1918, which claimed 20 – 40 million people. So far the death toll of the Coronavirus has been steadily rising, so does this virus has the potential to be a global pandemic? Raina McIntyre has been joined us. She is the Professor of Global Biosecurity at UNSW, and shed some light on this world-first virus.
