Covering the Bushfires

During the bushfires earlier this year we saw extraordinary, horrific scenes of destruction and devastation as Australia experienced the worst bushfire season in its history. As a collective we mourned the losses, cheered on the heroes who were fighting those fires, but did you spare a thought for the journalists who were bringing you those images that allowed us to really understand and experience what was happening on the front lines?

Photojournalist Nick Moir joined us to talk more about his own experiences of the fires and the role of photojournalism in the wake of disasters.

Head On Photo Festival: Covering The Bushfires, will be hel on May 5th, 6pm through 7:15pm. Register at headon.com.au if you would like to get involved.
