Creating Superhuman Athletes. Is it healthy or wise?

Science and sport have coexisted for a long time however has its involvement in enhancing the performance of athletes and presence in sporting codes more broadly gone too far?

The advancements in technology increasing the performance of elite athletes has been drastic in areas such as sports science and medicine however, can these advancements in sports science help athletes succeed in their line of sport in what is a highly competitive sporting environment and what can be the potential psychological costs to athletes during their careers and more importantly, for their life after sport.

Professor Gene Moyle, QUT Performance Psychologist and head of the school of creative practice at the creative industries faculty from the QUT spoke to Pranav Harsh about this and more.
