Cruise tourism on the rise in Australia, despite negative press

It’s been a rough couple of weeks for the cruise liner industry in Australia, with news of drunken violence and gastro outbreaks making plenty of unsavoury headlines.  

But in spite of the negative press, the Australian cruising market is booming, growing more than sixfold in the last decade. Now there are concerns that our port infrastructure and supply of skilled staff isn’t keeping up, especially here in Sydney. Senior Lecturer in Tourism from the University of Technology Sydney Dr David Beirman joined Nic to chat about the rapid growth in ocean liner tourism.
